Remote Viewing (RV) allows the mind to see across space—witnessing people, places, and events without ever being there. It sounds impossible, yet the science quietly supports it. Perhaps it’s caused by quantum entanglement linking energies through time and space, or a neural network between humans beyond our senses, or it’s the brain’s 6th sense filling in what the eyes can’t see.

1. Wave-Particle Duality and the Observer Effect

Some of the tiniest forms of matter in the universe — light particles (also called photons) or electrons — can act both like solid particles and like waves. This is called wave-particle duality.

Scientists proved this with the famous double-slit experiment. When light or electrons pass through two narrow slits and hit a screen:

• When not being measured, each particle acts like a wave, passing through both slits at once and interfering with itself. The result is a pattern of bright and dark bands — clear evidence of wave behavior.

This leads to the observer effect: the very act of measuring or observing a quantum system changes its behavior.
At the quantum level, particles don’t have fixed, definite properties — such as which path they take — until a measurement forces them to “choose.”

Why it matters for RV:
Remote viewing is also about observation. Just as watching particles makes them “choose” a state, focusing your attention in RV might also allow you to perceive, and there may not be a limit to how far in time and space you can perceive.

Think about starlight. As it travels through space, it acts like a wave. But once it hits a telescope, it shows up as particles. The way we choose to look at it literally changes what we see. This also can explain why we humans feel a weird tingle when someone is watching you.

2. Quantum Entanglement and Non-Locality

Sometimes two particles can become entangled, which means their properties are deeply linked no matter how far apart they are. If you measure one particle, the other instantly “knows” the result — even if it’s on the opposite side of the planet. What happens to one immediately affects the other.

Einstein famously called this phenomenon “spooky action at a distance”, because it seems to defy the rule that nothing can travel faster than light.

Scientists have tested entanglement in the lab many times. For example, pairs of photons can be created in a shared quantum state, then sent in opposite directions. When one photon is measured, its partner always shows the complementary result — perfectly correlated, even across kilometers.

This doesn’t let us send messages faster than light — it’s not communication in the usual sense — but it shows that quantum particles are connected in a way that classical physics can’t explain.

3. Quantum Superposition

At the quantum level, particles don’t exist in just one place or state — they exist in all possible states at once until someone checks. This is called superposition.

Let’s go back to the double-slit experiment:

When both slits are open and you don’t measure which slit the particle goes through, each particle behaves as if it went through both slits at the same time.

You can only explain the resulting interference pattern (bright + dark bands) if the particle’s wave function is a superposition of: “through left slit” and “through right slit.”

If the particle really only took one slit, you’d just get two blobs on the screen — but you don’t. You get interference. Thus, the double-slit experiment proves superposition because each particle acts as if it simultaneously takes both possible paths — until it’s measured.

Your brain and heart generate electromagnetic fields — tiny waves of energy that reflect your mental and emotional state. Different brain states produce different brainwaves:

Interestingly, the Earth itself produces natural electromagnetic waves called Schumann resonances, with a fundamental frequency around 7.83 Hz — right in the theta–alpha range. Studies of experienced meditators and Buddhist monks show that during deep meditation, their brains often produce theta and alpha waves, the same range linked with intuition, creativity, and calm focus.

Think of it like tuning a radio: when your mind is calm, focused, and in sync with your heart, you’re in the right “frequency” to pick up subtle information — similar to how remote viewers often report entering an alpha–theta state before performing a session.

Your heart generates an electromagnetic field far stronger than your brain, extending several feet beyond your body. This field reflects your emotional state and influences intuition:

• When you’re emotionally balanced, your heart’s field is more organized and coherent, helping your brain process information more clearly.

• When stressed, scattered emotions disrupt both your heart and brain, making intuitive insights harder to access.

In the 1970s, the CIA initiated a $20+ million program at the Stanford Research Institute (SRI) that lasted 20 years, under the direction of physicists Russell Targ and Harold Puthoff. The purpose of this research was to determine if individuals could use psychic abilities to perceive distant locations, people, or events without physical presence, a concept known as Remote Viewing. SRI’s initial mission was to disprove the effectiveness of Remote Viewing, but the findings were so remarkable that they did the opposite—the program’s results provided compelling evidence that Remote Viewing a real phenomenon.

Real-World Remote Viewing Discoveries

1. Discovery of Jupiter’s Rings: One of the most famous Remote Viewing discoveries was made by psychic Ingo Swann in 1973. Swann, a key figure in the Remote Viewing program, conducted a session during which he described rings around Jupiter. This was years before NASA’s Pioneer 10 spacecraft officially confirmed the discovery of these rings. 6. Kidnapping Case: Joe McMoneagle provided law enforcement with such precise details about the kidnapping of a U.S Army General that they were able to rescue within an hour.

7. Soviet Bomber Site: President Carter confirmed the success of RV when he publicly mentioned that Remote Viewing helped locate a downed Soviet bomber.

Why Was the Program Shut Down?

Despite decades of research and millions of dollars in funding, the program was officially shut down in 1995. The CIA released a report concluding that Remote Viewing was ultimately unreliable, dismissing it as providing vague, irrelevant, and sometimes incorrect information.

A comprehensive meta-analysis conducted between 1974 and 2022 examined 36 studies related to Remote Viewing, yielding 40 effect sizes. Importantly, there were no signs of publication bias, and only a minimal decline effect was observed. In practical terms, these results correspond to a 19.3% increase in hit rates above what would be expected by chance, with confidence intervals between 13.6% and 25%.

Additionally, the analysis compared different experimental protocols and found that Remote Viewing outperformed other methods of testing extrasensory perception. Project Stargate existed under the shadow of MKUltra, leading to Congress’ skepticism over funding. Over 1,200 Remote Viewing sessions were conducted for the CIA alone, with nearly all of largest intelligence agencies consistently seeking more insights for over 15 years after the program was shut down. While politicians debated its legitimacy, intelligence operators continued using Remote Viewing, suggesting its practical effectiveness.

The Expansive Potential of Human Consciousness

My initial impressions were vague—first, I drew a few volcanos. Then some curved shapes in movements (picture L shapes), in combination with what sounded like crashing water. I interpreted this as a multi-level waterfall. I picked up on a rust-colored metallic structure, as well as some blue and green. I also saw a few people that I guessed to be in their 30s or so.

The target? The Apollo Moon Landing. The “volcanoes” were actually the craters of the Moon. The “crashing water” I sensed was actually the hiss of astronaut life support systems. The L shaped thing in motion? It was the movement of the boots of the astronauts that I had “zoomed in” on. That bit of rust? Belonged to the spacecraft. The blue and green? Belonging to planet Earth in the distance. The middle-aged people? Indeed, the astronauts.

In fact, scientific studies support its effectiveness. A Columbia University analysis of Remote Viewing experiments found an accuracy rate of 77% and a reliability rate of 78%—numbers comparable to the success rates of standard psychotherapy (75%). If mainstream therapeutic methods are considered scientifically valid at these rates, why wouldn’t Remote Viewing be?

Is Remote Viewing Still Used Today?

While Project Stargate was officially shut down in 1995, declassified documents and insider accounts suggest that Remote Viewing never truly disappeared. Both the CIA and FBI have continued to explore RV for intelligence gathering, and private defense contractors—some from my own network—have taken an increasing interest in its applications.
